The basement is really finally starting to take shape. You can see we've managed to get the next wall up, today we will work on leveling everything and then securing them to the floor below (using a very cool .22 caliber nailing apparatus that actually uses a bullet like firing mechanism to shoot the nail through the wood and into the concrete) and then into the floor joists above. We have a couple extra studs and supports to add to it before it is done, and another small, short wall to add some definition to t

he kitchen area.
The plumber is scheduled to come Monday morning at 9AM to get started. He will be fixing some work that was done poorly by the previous owners, roughing in the plumbing for a sink in the kitchen area and running a gas line in case we ever want to add a gas stove. He thinks his work will take about 2 days and then we can finally start on the drywall!!

Thanks for the update. It's looking better all the time. I truly am grateful for all the time, money, and labor you are extending for me. Twenty more days! Probably a rushed time for you two, but a joyous count down for me. Love you both.
